Jan Pronk: tireless champion of the Palestinian cause

During the NATO summit in The Hague, former Minister of Development Cooperation and international diplomat Jan Pronk will speak at GazaBeach. Pronk is an influential voice in the field of international conflicts, development cooperation and human rights.

He has consistently stood on the right side of history in previous genocides, such as in Rwanda and Srebrenica, a stance he continues to maintain today. For more than a year now, he has joined the civil servants’ sit-in almost every week, protesting Dutch complicity in Gaza. With his extensive experience in peace missions and diplomacy, he works tirelessly to expose injustice and demand change, while reflecting on the situation in Gaza and the role of the international community, including NATO countries, in this crisis.
